  STABILUS is a trade mark under which since 1934 hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for passenger cars has been produced. The range of STABILUS includes trunk and bonnet shock absorbers, engine dampers, steering dampers, belt tensioners and chains, fuel pump dampers and other goods.

In 1965 the company STABILUS jointed the group of companies SACHS. Today STABILUS is a leading supplier of its products to the biggest automobile factories of the world. As the biggest manufacturer of gas-filled shock absorbers, STABILUS produced more than 100 millions of gas-filled shock absorbers and dampers around the world in 2000.
