OSRAM GmbH has a strongly pronounced international orientation and manufactures its products at 57 enterprises in 18 countries. It is one of two biggest manufacturers of light sources. More than 38 000 employees are engaged in work of this enterprise that is strongly oriented to international markets. OSRAM Company supplies its products to customers in more than 150 countries and has 49 factories in 19 countries.  

The most considerable part of OSRAM turnover is made up of general lighting products. OSRAM is №1 in production of light sources for automobiles. OSRAM also occupies a leading position on the market of electronic start-control devices for lamps. The rapidly growing market of optical semiconductors is of strategical importance for the company’s development. A brisk innovative rate is also a characteristic of the market of photooptic special lamps, on which OSRAM also occupies one of its top positions.

The products are manufactured in 19 countries of the world according to the single quality standard "Total Quality Management". Quality of products always corresponds to the “Made in Germany” expression, that has already become common, and is ensured by high level of manufacturing automation, quality of components and equipment, developed by the company itself.

Every lamp is subject to 28 checks and tests on air-tightness, strength, accuracy of manufacturing and so on. All these checks guarantee durability and reliability of OSRAM lamps operation, which in its turn account for their high quality.
