World Automotive Industry Began to Stabilize and by 2014 Will Grow by 1,5

Last year the world automotive industry released only 57,2 mln passenger cars and LCV, having reduced its production by 13% or 9 mln cars as compared to the preceeding year and reached the rates of 2002.

As consulting company PricewaterhouseCoopers predicts, this year growth of production of passenger vehicles will be about 13% as compared to the passed crisis year. And in 2014 car production will grow by more than 28 mln pcs or by 49,1% as compared to 2009 and will be 85 mln 209 K of passenger and light commercial vehicles.

World biggest car producer in the segment of LCV will remain China, which according to the specialists of Autofacts, will be able to increase production to 17,3 mln pcs by 2014. America will take a second place, its production is predicted to be no less than 10,5 mln passenger cars. Slower growth rate will shift Japan to a third place with its production of 9,1 mln cars. The rating of countries, which will ensure maximal production increase by 2014, will be headed by the PRC, the USA, India, Japan and Thailand, which will also be part of TOP-10 of car manufacturers.

Inspite of shift of geographical centers of car production, impact of major global automotive groups and alliances will remain practically unchanged. Alliance VW-Suzuki will keep its leading positions, and according to forecasts of PwC will demontrate growth of production volumes of passenger vehicles by 3,4 mln pcs within the period of 2009-2014. A second place will maintain Toyota Group, and a third one - GM Group with their growth rates of 3,018 and 3,056 mln cars correspondingly.
