Import of cars into Russia in January-May 2010 decreased by 14,8%
Import of passenger cars in the Russian Federation in January-May 2010 decreased by 14,8% in comparison with the analogous period of the previous year down to 192 200 cars. This data has been provided by the Federal Customs Service. During the abovementioned period the cars equal to USD 3 235 mln, including â 162 700 cars equal to USD 3 056 mln were imported from non-CIS countries and 29 500 cars equal to USD 179 600 000 were imported from CIS countries.
In its turn the Russian Federation decreased in January-May 2010 the export of passenger cars by 10,8% in comparison with the same period of 2009 – down to 16 600 cars. In total for the period mentioned above passenger cars equal to USD 109,7 mln including 3 000 cars equal to USD 24 mln – to non-CIS countries and 13 700 cars equal to USD 85,7 mln – to CIS countries.
In January-February 14 300 trucks were imported into Russia (+68,2% in comparison with the same period of 2009) equal to USD 313,8 mln. 14 100 trucks out of them equal to USD 309,2 mln were imported from non-CIS countries.
Export of trucks from Russia in January-May 2010 decreased by 29,6% – down to 3 800 trucks. During the period mentioned above the Russian Federation exported the trucks equal to the amount of USD 112 mln, including 1 100 trucks equal to USD 66,8 mln – to non-CIS countries, 2 700 trucks equal to USD 45,2 mln – to CIS countries.
