Sales of Commercial Vehicles in Russia Grew to 9%
The sales of commercial vehicles in Russia in the first quarter of 2010 grew to 9% up to 23988 pieces, as reported Andrey Chursin, Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Manufacturers of Commercial Transport of the European Business Association. Also the sales of light commercial vehicles (with fully-loaded mass from 2,8 to 6 tons) grew to 6% up to 21062 vehicles. In the segment of average trucks the sales fell down to 9%, 893 pieces respectively. The sales of busses increased up to 38 pieces in the first quarter of 2010 in comparison with 24 busses, sold in the same period last year, reports «Finmarket».Commenting on the issue of recovery of commercial transport market in Russia and its return to the level of that before crisis, A. Chursin noted that this would not happen earlier than in three or four years.
